The role includes responsibilities for both front end and back end testing, as well as the following: Develop, execute and maintain test cases derived from functional and non-functional requirements for applications and services released by development Work closely with developers to optimize manual and automated testing processes Work closely with current in-house C++ library code base Identify and report defects through testing Work with developers to identify root cause of defects where applicable to the quality assurance role Communicate with exchanges across the APAC region Identify and implement means of reducing testing cycles through automation - building test harnesses and scripts for automation as required Identify and implement a means of increasing testing accuracy and reducing testing cycle time through automation of back-end manual test suites Manage multiple testing projects and scheduling of testing efforts The role will require the candidate to spend some time in Chicago upon starting Experience and Skills: Proven track record in Quality Assurance; working with large, complex software applications with high performance, scalability, & reliability demands Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of software development and testing life-cycle processes Strong C/C++ experience in a Linux environment Exceptional Python or Perl scripting skills In-depth knowledge of how to implement back-end automated testing solutions within a highly distributed environment Ability to troubleshoot problems at both the application and network layers Experience with multithreaded programming and design Solid understanding of electronic trading infrastructure incorporating real-time market data feeds, order submission clients and drop-copies Demonstrated proficiency working with multiple exchange specific messaging protocols Excellent written and spoken English Confident team player motivated by a fast-paced environment Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical field of study Apply here: http://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=eXZvbm5lYS45MTAxOS4zMzcwQGFzdGJ1cnltYXJzZGVuLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ" | ||||||
