Subject: Commodity Sourcing Manager – Banking Sector Bianca de Goede posted a job: Commodity Sourcing Manager – Banking Sector "This role is based within the Purchasing function within Procurement. You will have full responsibility for your Commodity area and for all aspects of Purchasing in relations with your Commodity. You will be in charge of the management of the total life cycle of the given produce/service and relationships both internal and external. You will be required to possess a high degree of expertise and market knowledge in your Commodity area and to provide advice and guidance on all Purchasing related matters to internal customers, including strategy and supplier management. In this role you will be working with the Strategic Sourcing Category Manager to develop and drive the long term commercial strategy of a specific commodity, enabling client to step change its savings delivery. This will include responsibility for setting the Commodity strategy for a specific commodity area and delivering that strategy, and engaging and influencing at senior levels to support these strategies. You will proactively direct all aspects of the supplier life cycle through strategy, business engagement, tender, negotiation and contract management, ensuring the best interests of client are served in managing the Bank plc and other areas of the Groups’ Agreements. You will also have an awareness of risk in your Commodity area and knowledge of how to mitigate commercially, contractually and operationally, including CSR and Banking relationships. Ideally you’ll have previous experience in Purchasing management, preferably in more than one role across a wide range of products and services. You’ll be adept at using your excellent communication skills to negotiate effectively at an advanced level. You’ll have excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding and working knowledge of commercial law, with strong business and commercial awareness.
