JD : Position : Enterprises Architect Type :     Contract Duration : 6months Location :   NJ Job Description: The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to define and govern the application architecture principles for multiple specializations/packages, platforms and technologies. This individual will socialize the standards and governance methodology across all IS organizations and IS technology partners. Will review all architecture designs to ensure projects, technology upgrade and major enhancements are aligned with standards and IT strategy. Will use broad retail and technical industry knowledge to identify and recommend sustainable and flexible solutions. Will be responsible to lead and/or act as a subject matter expert on multiple projects and initiatives. Will be accountable for resolving issues of high complexity that require knowledge across multiple technical areas. A combination of 5-7 years of experience as an Application and/or Enterprise Architect in relevant industry business practices, business consulting, and/or technical consulting is required; retail and CPG sectors are most desired. In addition, the following are critical skills required to perform well in this position: Demonstrated knowledge in architecture, design, software development, database management systems and systems integration in multi-platform environments. Extensive experience full life cycle development and required application architecture related deliverables. Experience building and knowledge of service oriented architectures (SOA) and web services. Understanding of databases, JDBC connections, and LDAP Understanding of core J2EE components and the application stack. Extensive experience estimating work effort and creating project plans Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer-facing skills at all levels of the organization. Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, Project, as well as others (e.g., wikis, bug tracking, source control, etc.). Excellent analytical and design skills Additional skills desired: Extensive understanding of current and emerging trends both the retail and technology industries. Extensive experience implementing and integrating ERP packages such as SAP. Extensive experience integrating to 3rd party systems such as warehouse management and point of sale.
