Entrepreneurs, own your own seasonal store in a mall near you without the risk and big upfront investment. We offer single store opportunities as well as territory opportunities. Owner/Operator Responsibilities Financial Responsibilities: Calendar Club pays your rent, utilities, and reimburses for permits and licenses. Product is paid for as you sell it. Your main financial responsibility is to hire and pay employees as well as obtain Workman’s Comp insurance. Time: You will need to be sure that you can invest an adequate amount of time in the business. You will need to initially spend time learning how the system works. We offer a training conference in Austin that you will want to attend if possible. It is important to take time to offer proper training for employees and be in the stores on a regular business. Leadership and Partnership: One of the most important skills you need to possess as an operator is the ability to be pro-active and take initiative. You should be able to easily assume a leadership role. You need to be certain that you understand how the entire system works. As a partner, you should be able to work together, share ideas, and resolve issues together. Communication: With all of the responsibilities a partner holds, communication and organizational skills are key skills to possess as an operator. It is essential to keep in close communication with the corporate office. In addition, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with your customers, employees, and mall contacts. Organization: In operating your business, you will most likely have to manage all the daily operations involved in operating a business, providing excellent customer service, preparing payroll, daily and weekly paperwork, making sure the store is clean and well stocked, etc. It is essential to be able to organize all of your responsibilities so that everything gets done accurately and in a timely manner.
