PeopleSoft HCM Developer Consultant Location: Chapel Hill, NC Duration: 1 Year+ Contract Function as PeopleSoft HCM Senior Developer Consultant in support of work in the HCM area. This role will be part of the team working on the HCM implementation of PeopleSoft for the Connect Carolina project. This person will play an active role in the configuration, design, development, and testing of PeopleSoft applications within the HCM solution. They will work with peer consultants on the FMS project and the HCM project to support the fully integrated solution. This is for the implementation of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1, providing the following services: • Providing effort estimates for development team work. • Delivering effective solutions on time, within budget and in adherence to development and quality standards. • Complying with the system development life cycle (SDLC). • Completing the development process including development of technical specifications and modification documentation. • Facilitating appropriate knowledge transfer within the team and business offices. • Coaching, leading, and mentoring other team members. • The contractor is expected to work a 40 hour week Monday through Friday (8 Hours per day) or Monday through A minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM is required, and preference is for candidates with at least 2 years of implementation experience with version 8.9 or greater. Higher Education experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS data structures, configuration and setup designs, and business processes within the application is required. Experience with one or more PeopleSoft applications (Human Resources or Financials). • PeopleTools 8.5x or higher is required. • Provide technical development leadership through full project life cycle from discovery of requirements through implementation and go live. • Strong knowledge of the PeopleSoft Toolset: Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, and SQR . Strong SQL development skills with experience writing complex SQL routines. • Must have at least 5-7 years of SQL experience. This position may include working with PeopleSoft Query, Data Mover and File Layout. Selected candidate must have advanced PeopleSoft programming skills including experience in developing custom pages using various PeopleSoft provided tools and assigning security to custom built modules using Menus, Permission Lists, Roles and User Profiles. Experience writing multiple and complex reports using PeopleSoft reporting utilities. Further experience implementing any of the other HCM modules is considered a big plus but not required.
