"Workplace Support Engineer (A/2012-29) Workplace is the domain that handles all user device specific tasks. Within Workplace Engineering there is the responsibility of delivering (2nd and) 3th level support for Workplace related incidents. These incidents cover desktops, laptops, thin clients and smartphones. The mission of this function is to handle all incidents that cannot be solved by 1st or 2nd level support on the end user device. In this function you will also have very regular contact with the end/user. DOMAINS OF RESPONSIBILITY Provide end-user support for level 2 and 3 incidents on the following technologies o Windows XP till end 2013 o Windows 7 o Desktops till end 2013 o Laptops o Smartphones (Android and IOS) o Active directory Workstation related issues o Thin clients with Windows embedded or Linux embedded o Office 2003 till end 2013, Office 2010 o End user software like Acrobat, MS Visio, MS Project… o Software Distribution Support o Create and maintain support documentation o Liaise for handover with 1st level support (Service Desk) and 2nd level support o Respect existing SLAs for incidents o Report regularly to Manager or Incident and Problem management regarding the follow up of more complex issues. PROFILE o 2 to 3 years of experience in IT Workplace related subjects. o Bachelor degree with IT orientation (or equivalent). o General knowledge of the Windows platform. o Knowledge ITIL Incident and Problem management o Experience in working together with clients SKILLS NON TECHNICAL SKILLS • Active knowledge of French or Dutch • Taking into account the multi cultural environment, a good English knowledge in speaking and writing is mandatory. • Ownership and organizational skills to resolve issues. • Good communication skills (oral and writing). • Ability to deal with unhappy Client. • Strong team player TEHCNICAL SKILLS • Certified Windows XP and Windows 7. • Certified Microsoft Office products 2003 and 2010 • Knowledge of Android and IOS • Software Distribution via SCCM • Basic understanding of Active Directory • Visual Basic • Knowledge of the common hardware platforms from Dell and Lenovo • Knowledge of Samsung and Apple Smartphones Location: Brussels, Belgium Only EU citizens Start: ASAP until end 2013 Contact: milan@prodejtese.cz"
