Job Description: Role: Netezza Datawarehouse Developer- In depth Netezza Database Administration experience- Should have ability to install, manage and tune Netezza database- Experience Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service (Replication).- Good Knowledge of backup and restore & Tivoli Storage Management.- Experience of Analytical SQL, and EDW/ETL processing. Capacity planning- The Data Warehouse ETL Developer is responsible for theDevelopment of Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) routines for moving datafrom internal and external operational systems into the Enterprise DataWarehouse (EDW) for reporting and analytical users. The EDW is housed on aNetezza Data Warehouse Appliance. Candidate must work closely with otherdevelopment teams--like Data Modeling & Database Administration--andbusiness units to design and implement appropriate software solutions to meetbusiness needs and ensure timely delivery.Duties and Responsibilities:Candidate will be expected to have familiarity andexperience with standard development methodology including the ability tocreate and maintain design documentation, as well as implement and deploy datawarehouse solutions. Candidate will not only be expected to perform unittesting on ETL logic they develop; but to contribute as well to validatingother developers logic at times.Must have solid skills in devising efficient databasequeries in Structured Query Language (SQL) and have a firm understanding ofrelational databases. Position needs trouble-shooting skills on standardplatforms (e.g., MS Windows or UNIX/Linux).Required Skills: 4-7 years of experienceusing Structured Query Language (SQL) to retrieve data from relational databaseExchange as the ETL tool and they are a mixed environment of Windows andUNIX/Linux. they will eventually move everything from Windows toLinux.Education (UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization,) AND (PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization,)"
