"Job: EMR Analyst in Chicago, IL Sentinel is seeking: Clinical Systems Application Analyst     The role of the Clinical Systems Application Analyst is to analyze, design, implement, and maintain their application(s).  They will also provide technical support to various end-users to ensure optimized use of their application(s) and associated system workflows.  The Clinical Systems Application Analyst is a supporting member of the Clinical Systems team and various workgroups/committees.  This analyst will have a specific focus on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).  This analyst reports to the Epic Application Systems Manager through the Clinical Systems Team Lead and may be mentored by a more senior team member/analyst. This position is a 4 month contract to hire with my direct client. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Attend required training and attain Epic certification in their assigned application(s). Acquire and maintain an integrated perspective of the organization’s information systems and technology to ensure the best approach to development, implementation, optimization, and resolution of end-user needs. Participate as a key member of the Clinical Systems team; understanding operational workflows and care processes, system workflows, system configuration/design decisions, and policy/procedure considerations. Provide technical support and problem resolution assistance to end-users of system applications, focusing on the acceptance, integration, and optimal use of their assigned application(s).  Analyze and manage maintenance and support requests.  Work with departmental and operational staff to analyze and resolve complex system issues. Conduct system testing for new functionality, upgrades, special updates, and fixes to applications. Work closely with end-users to define implementation/optimization objectives and deliverables for assigned application(s) in accordance with departmental procedures. Analyze and document end-user needs for development and modification of systems; make scope and specification recommendations. Work with departmental and operational staff to identify training needs, coordinate training schedules, develop training materials, and deliver training. Prioritize assigned tasks and projects based upon directives from supervisor. Assist with special projects as necessary. Maintain timely, effective, and appropriate communications/documentation. Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature, and seminars. Apply this knowledge to subsequent tasks and impart to other Information Services staff as necessary.   REQUIREMENTS A four year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, a health-related field, or 6-8 years of direct work experience in clinical related areas required.
