Netbackup Admin Required in Wilmington, DE ""SEND ME YOUR UPDATED RESUME AT kevinb@amtexsystems.com"" Title: Netbackup Admin Duration: 12+ months Location: Wilmington, DE Face to face must after telephonic interview  Job Description:   Looking for Netbackup Admin Ideally the person will have some SAN experience   Summary The ideal candidate will have extensive NetBackup and media management experience in a corporate environment preferably for a large financial institution. The NetBackup Administrator will be primarily responsible for ensuring the day-to-day success of data backup, recovery and media management activities.  In addition the candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, leading platform upgrades, capacity planning, and all escalated troubleshooting. Duties/Responsibilities: Manage NetBackup production environment to ensure success of backup jobs. Perform troubleshooting and remediation of all backup failures Work with storage provider to track offsite media. Provide Data Protection engineering and project support Maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and systems. Basic UNIX scripting Follow NOC notification and escalation procedures                                                                                 Job Requirements: 4+ Years NetBackup experience in a multi-platform, enterprise environment (NBU 6.5 or higher preferred) Strong Symantec Operations Center Administration experience, including the creation of customized report. Experience with AIX, Solaris 10, RHEL, Windows, Oracle RMAN. Proficient with NetBackup command line and GUI. Experience administering VTL and Library components Ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve urgent issues. Must enjoy working in a high pressure and fast paced environment. Strong understanding of internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, DNS). Possess excellent oral & written communication skills.
