Group: IT Recruiters Sumit Kanchan has started a discussion: "URGENT REQ:: Senior Data Architect in Palo Alto, CA Data Architect   The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: • Review current operational data structures and recommend optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted. • Help develop and maintain standards pursuant to data structures and models. • Work with clients, business analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases. • Work with data base administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into system test and production environments. • Work closely with 3rd party vendors to integrate selected packages. • Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies. • Provide full-life cycle architectural guidance and ensure quality technical deliverables. • Serve as a data technical strategy expert and lead the creation of technical requirements and design deliverables. • Develop schemas for all business applications.   Qualifications ·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years experience in IT industry.  Master's degree is preferred. ·Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect in an enterprise-class setting. ·Must possess very solid background in complex data modeling; experience with operational/transactional systems is required and experience with data warehousing/business intelligence is a plus. ·Experience with internationalization/localization required. ·Must possess a minimum of 5+ years experience with an enterprise data modeling tool, preferably ERWin. ·Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of RDBMS experience, preferably Oracle.
