Group: IT Recruiters Sarah De Laet has started a discussion: nXt-IT is looking for BI Designer & Modeler start : 04/11/2011 duration : 3 maanden location : Brussels "Description •works with the BI project managers, analysts, developpers and the BI Architect to design BI solutions according bpost’s architecture and development standards and guidelines. •performs design checks during the development •has profound experience in BI concepts and data models, as well as in depth understanding of the technical impact •Understands client requirements and can translate it into a proposed BI solution •Strong combination of design skills along with excellent customer communication skills •Mitigates application risks by proactively recognizing and communicating challenges, manage changes and providing contingency plans that enable success. •Assures that engagements are delivered in accordance with the Implementation Methodology to ensure successful execution. •Aligns solution design with BI architect •Continually seeks opportunities to improve the framework and works with architect to design new framework improvements •Interacts effectively at all levels of the organization. Technical context • Dutch with active knowledge of French (or vice versa). Active knowledge of English, certainly written. • At least 6 years experience in BI application design • Knowledge of Oracle, Business Objects and PL/SQL • Experience with data modeling tools, espec. Powerdesigner • Knowledge of the postal and/or logistics sector is a plus • Knowledge of project mgt is a plus Business context • The BI practice @ bpost e produces information out of the available data through BI proceses • Facilitates and evaluates requirements analysis and solution design. • The person must be able to work independently. • He is responsible for a number of projects/demands, works as single point of contact, and reports progress and status to the BI architect. • He keeps a helicopter view on the supported business processes, guards and manages any impact on linked processes and linked applications.
