Group: Technology Recruiters Vivek Athmakoori has started a discussion: Sr.System Administrator at Atlanta,GA for 8+ months of contract "Job Title: Sr.System Administrator Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 8+ month’s contract Job Description • Candidates should have significant experience in planning, documenting, validating and testing technical solutions in a global enterprise setting. ? • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on Windows/Linux/Red Hat Operating Systems. • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on VMware (4.0/5.0) within a large enterprise (VCP Certification preferred) setting. • Technical certifications and designations highly preferred. • System administrator will participate and support complex enterprise virtual environments. • Candidate will have extensive working knowledge of enterprise administration, must be very familiar with network connectivity, shared Storage/storage devices. • Must also have hands on experience designing, building and standing up both production and development environments. Responsibilities: • Linux systems administration including server deployment, software and hardware installation, troubleshooting, automation, scripting, monitoring, configuration management and tuning • Work with systems team to design and implement solutions for new and existing environments. • Strong operating system and file system protocol knowledge • Performance testing, tuning and monitoring • Manipulate existing file systems based on utilization needs and histories • Expert understanding of load balancing Required Skills: • OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, Windows Server, Solaris • Experience installing configuring and supporting virtual server technology (VMware and/or Hyper-V) • Experience with server hardware and management tools • Shell scripting, Perl, python • Knowledge of Linux kernel and performance tuning practices • TCP/IP, DNS, multicast • Linux provisioning: Kickstart / Cobbler • Software: Multipathd, MPIO, Linux-HA, SNMP • Active Directory, LDAP, NIS Protocols: CIFS, NFS, Samba, FTP, HTTP, FC, iSCSI • File systems: NTFS, Ext2/3/4, LVM, XFS • SAN (IBM XIV, Storwize, Hitachi AMS2000 series, a plus) • NAS: NetApp, IBM nSeries, V7000Unified • DAS: IBM, Sun SunFire x4540, CoRAID • Switches • VMWare"
