"FTSE 100 Company in Reading are looking for a Lync Support Consultant. Manager is seeking a Premier Field Engineer Lync Support Consultant to work within a role where they will be support customers by guiding them, teaching them and consulting with them about Lync as they migrate from OCS to Lync. The Field Engineer is there to provide advice guidance and support but will not be in a hands on role. They will scope the engagement and work to pull together an agreement of terms to migrate that is satisfactory with the customer. They will have previously worked on Migrations and have a strong telecoms background having worked closely in previous roles with 3rd and 4th Line infrastructure teams. They will be technically strong with Lync Server and OCS knowledge, advances configuration and Enterprise voice as well as work in performance optimization and integration. The 4 key skills that the manager requires are: - Consultative Skills – Recognize differences in conversations between CIO and Ops person - Excellent Oral and Written skills - Trouble shooting knowledge - Strong Relationship building skills. They will be working in a large team of 18, 4 of which are Lync Engineers. The role will be initially 3-6 months and will require travel within the UK to customer site 3-4 days per week. Paying between £450 – 500 per day We require a January start so candidates must be immediately available or on short notice. The role will have a 2 stage interview process 1st telephone technical interview followed by a face to face. We need individuals that: • Possess deep technical expertise in at least one technical specialty and can solve complex technical problems through sound, creative troubleshooting. You will also need to be able to examine possible workarounds and escalations as required. • Set an example of excellence as a representative, enhancing the company's image and reputation through your credibility, preparation, commitment and first-class delivery. • Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic on going customer relationships, gain trust and respect for the company. Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation and training skills. • Enjoy team work, and actively contribute to their peer group as well as our customer account teams. • Communicate at all levels from CIO to the technical staff on the ground. Expertise Required • Experience in the enterprise customer arena • Face-to-face customer engagement skills • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills • Troubleshooting knowledge & skills • MCTS / MCITP qualification desirable • Degree qualification or equivalent experience • Good understanding of ITIL/Service Management If this role is of interest, please apply to sonia.kumar@quantica-technology.co.uk"
