"Global manufacturing company is seeking to appoint a Compliance Director to oversee the company’s national and international compliance policies. Your will review and evaluate compliance issues and risks within the organisation. The position ensures that the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, company policies and procedures. Specifically, you will •Receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution, and •Act as a final internal resource with which concerned parties may communicate after other formal channels and resources have been exhausted. •Monitor and report results of the compliance/ethics efforts of the company and provide guidance to the Board and senior management team. Duties and Responsibilities •Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance programme and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct, as well as managing day-to-day operation of the Programme. •Develop and periodically review standards of conduct to ensure relevance in providing guidance to management and employees. •Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues for investigation and resolution and also consults with the Group’s legal adviser as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues. •Respond to alleged violation of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Additionally, develop and oversee a system for uniform handling of such violations. •Monitor and as necessary, coordinate compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities, and to identify trends. •Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. •Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorised enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required. •Institute and maintain an effective compliance communication programme for the organisation, including promoting the use of a Compliance Hotline; heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct; understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures. •Work with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training programme, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers. •Conducts compliance assessment, training and sign-off of partners and vendors. Education, Experience & Skills Required •Bachelors degree in a business or law subject will be highly advantageous. •Experience in an international consumer products organisation. •Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource. procedures and regulations in North America and Europe is essential. •Fluency in Russian will be advantageous but not essential.
