Subject: Programmer (Manufacturing) - Central, NJ Sondra Gleie posted a job: Programmer (Manufacturing) - Central, NJ "Our client, a medium size manufacturing company, is seeking a Programmer with experience with manufacturing systems. The Programmer will analyze data processing requirements to plan data processing system that will provide system capabilities required for projected workloads, and plans layout and installation of new system or modification of existing system. Compose and maintain various ancillary applications, processes and procedures that directly effect daily operations of the corporate and manufacturing aspects of the company by performing the following duties. The Programmer/Analyst designs, implements, analyzes, and modifies systems for various applications, and works with users to define system requirements and resolve problems. Responsibilities also include supporting the ERP system (IFS) and performing server, database, desktop, and peripheral support. Responsibilities: • Design, create, test and deploy applications as deemed necessary and appropriate by corporate and departmental managers for the enhancement and refinement of projects, processes and procedures of the corporation. • Design, create, test and deploy customized reports, reading and compiling data from existing systems with use of applicable report generation tool. • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. • Help with the training of existing staff in the effective use of these systems. • Administer and maintain Oracle database and related Oracle-based application(s). • Perform some help desk tasks, as well as act as backup for the help desk support. Requirements: • Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university • 5 + years of experience supporting ERP and/or manufacturing systems in a manufacturing environment REQUIRED • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, MRP, and shop floor control systems • Experience with Visual Basic, Oracle, MS SQL Server 2000, MS Access, and Crystal Report is a must • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows 2000/2003 server and Windows XP • Strong understanding of business processes and analytical skills • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, vendors and upper management 10 + years experience (manufacturing experience preferred), Masters degree is a plus Please send resumes to recruiting@consultnetworx.com"
