"Location: California - San Diego, USA As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be a key resource in identifying opportunities and driving solutions to affect business process change through technology. You will develop implementation strategies for new technology and drive enhancements and upgrades for both custom developed and packaged solutions to support engineering functions. You will be the primary liaison between users and technical teams and be responsible for providing overall functional / technical analysis and design for multiple Engineering Applications projects, as well as coordinating matrixed technologies and process teams. The position will have ownership for functional design, requirements, systems analysis, customer expectations, project schedule, scope/risk management, and support for various projects and production systems. You will maintain relationships with application vendors, and monitor their product roadmaps and business outlook. Primary responsibilities will be integration and support/customer interface for engineering applications, as well as Yield Management System QA. The position requires broad-based functional experience and proven track record in: . Systems Analyst experience in custom development & packaged systems full-lifecycle implementations, including - Requirements Management, Functional Design, Functional Testing, UAT, Conversion / Roll Out, and Production Support . High Tech and / or Semiconductor Industry experience in engineering applications. . Prior experience working in or directly with Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Yield Engineering. . Process improvement and user training / communication / change management The position requires IT management experience in: . IT project management . Working in and coordinating highly matrixed teams . Customer expectation management The candidate must have: . Ability to work with the complexity or difficulty of incompletely defined tasks, synthesize ambiguous or conflicting requirements, determine the level of effort required to complete these tasks, and clearly communicate and implement a development plan. . Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment . Ability to foster a positive and constructive relationship with internal customers, vendors and matrixed team members The successful candidate will have seven or more years of systems analysis experience across all phases of the system development life cycle for both off-the-shelf and custom applications. * Have keen sense of key issues and priorities. * Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements for a mixed business and technical audience. * Prior experience working closely with application developers. * Expertise in defining business processes and recommending changes. * Strong meeting facilitation skills. * Ability to drive change within the organization through consensus-building. * Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply that knowledge. Additional Skills: Knowledge of: client/server architecture, Unix, Mercury Test Tool Suite, Java, XML, Scripting language such as Perl or Python, Knowledge of database structures and querying (SQL), Understanding of data collection and formats. Experience with Yield Management applications such as PDF dataPOWER, Synopsys Odyssey, TYNE AYEDAS, or equivalent. Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent experience required"
