Job description: This is an excellent opportunity for a talented candidate to get involved in development of an innovative compressed-air energy storage system. An ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer who possesses a high level of creativity and innovation, and has deep understanding of the science underlying our technology. This position is to assist senior members conduct experimental research in the area of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and heat transfer. The subjects of the experiments are demand driven and fast changing. This provides the opportunity to learn all branches, equipment and technology in the field of experimental fluid mechanics. Be aware that there is little or no chance to publish papers. Responsibilities: •Concentrate in the field of experiments, and take on any experimental research task no matter big or small. •Creatively design different types of test setups. •Solve analytical problems in various fields including thermodynamics, gas and fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and multiphase flow. Skills: •PhD or Masters degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field •At least 2 years of related work experience •Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, heat transfer and thermodynamics •Hands on experience with typical equipment in experimental research, such as transducers, data acquisition systems and so on •Working knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurements •Eager to solve challenging problems Preferred Qualifications: •Experience with laser and optical measurement •Programming languages: Labview, C/C++ or Python, Matlab or Mathematica If interested please send your resume and cover letter with your salary range in word format at trish.gomez@bridgepointepartners.com or you can reach me at 4153667198."
