"This is full time permanent & direct hire job for a privately held, development-stage medical technology company, pioneering noninvasive robotically controlled treatments for inflammatory and neovascular diseases of the eye. Desired Skills & Experience •BS, Electrical Engineering required with at least 5 years of medical device test engineering experience and 10 years of engineering experience •Strong working knowledge of IEC60601-1-1, -1-2 standards required •Working knowledge of IEC60601-2-8, IEC62366 preferred •Must be detail oriented and extremely organized •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills •Strong technical skills, including analytical and problem solving •Working knowledge of LabView, Agile PLM and/or IBM Rational DOORS is desirable •Ability to perform at the highest level in a small company, fast-paced environment •Basic understanding of current Quality Management Systems Standard ISO 13485 and FDA-Quality System Regulation •Follow chain of command decision-making •Must be adaptable to task assignments that may not relate to direct experience •Collaborate with co-workers without exhibiting behavioral extremes Work Environment and Physical Demands Must be able to lift heavy objects, as some sub assemblies must be moved during the testing or assembly. The typical hazards associated with the testing and repair of electronic circuits and systems are present, including exposure to AC power and high voltage systems.
