"Reports to: Commercial Director JOB FUNCTION To secure target revenues for new and existing Pharmexx services by establishing high value relationships with selected customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities For Business Development Manager To define, with other relevant Pharmexx personnel, commercial strategies that will enable Pharmexx CSO / related services to achieve targeted year on year growth To be the main instigator of business development plans and activities with clients. Predominantly these are expected to be face-to-face discussions or presentations led by the Pharmexx BDM but involving other members of the Pharmexx management team. To identify opportunities for the provision of Pharmexx services and ensure that such opportunities are proactively presented to target customers With input from the Sales Operations team and other key stakeholders in the organisation to lead the understanding of our contract sales customers needs so these may be incorporated into the development of new services. Analyze and make recommendations to the Pharmexx Board on strategic opportunities such as gain share or product licensing opportunities Business Development Manager will (with the Commercial Director) develop the marketing and sales strategies that will lead to a successful commercialization of the service. To develop strong relationships with key customers that are characterized by: Frequent contact with a number of key individuals within client base An open dialogue which allows customers to proactively address any emerging issues Pharmexx becomes a primary supplier of contract sales or sales performance enhancing services. To manage the CSO cost models ensuring the base assumptions are up to date and that quoted prices reflect target margins. To negotiate service agreements resulting from successful proposals. Ensuring discounts are authorised by the appropriate authority and the relevant operational manager agrees operational service standards. To own and produce Business Development KPI’s such as Proposal Register etc To produce forecasts for new business and other market analysis that may be required from time to time in the Pharmexx business planning process KEY MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE • Revenue for new business (new clients and new projects) • Profitability of business extensions • Number of new customer contacts • Number of proposals submitted • Wins in competitive pitches • Business wins without having to pitch EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Degree level education 3 year plus pharma industry senior sales and marketing experience Excellent knowledge of the NHS Product / Solutions assessment experience an advantage Please forward all applications to Robert Sommerville Pharmexx Resourcing Manager Robert.sommerville@pharmexx.co.uk www.pharmexx.co.uk"
