"Hiring a Remote Desktop Engineer in Washington, DC APPLYLOGIC IS HIRING!!! Essential Job Functions:   The engineer will maintain our customer’s current High Speed Remote Access (HSRA) system based upon a Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and will also assist with engineering the new solution based on the Cisco Remote Access applications. This includes, but not limited to, maintenance, design and development of resources such as Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services, LAN switches, DHCP servers, firewalls and Intrusion Protection System devices. Monitor entire remote access infrastructure identifying potential security, speed, or enhancement recommendations. Serve as liaison and coordinator between the Tier 2 helpdesk and Government POC to address common technical problems for remote users. Document problems and resolutions within the Remedy system. Maintain common directory structure that includes current structure schema, system documentation and any other appropriate documents. Serve as technical liaison between Remote Access Government POC and other technical project managers to insure other projects are properly integrated.  An understanding of VDI would also be an asset.   We are engineering a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and we anticipate that the following skill sets will be required to support existing and future projects:   ·         Windows XP and Windows 7 engineering experience ·         Understanding of the application of security controls ·         VMware server and VDI experience ·         Good networking skills (TCP/IP, routing, etc.) ·         VB and or Windows scripting ·         Good writing skills      Additional Skills requested (not required): ·         Understanding of SMS/SCCM package deployment ·         Knowledge of PKI ·         Windows Terminal Server      Required Expert knowledge on Windows Server 2008 R2 Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix, etc. At least 5 years of demonstrated related experience U.S. citizenship required DoD Secret Clearance Required and ability to obtain a classified suitability clearance     Submit your resume to: Tor Cannady Direct: 202-441-1566 E-mail: Tor.Cannady@ApplyLogic.com       http://bull.hn/l/V0L2/3"
