"Database Administrator - Oracle in Singapore, Singapore Seagate is looking for a Database Administrator located in our Business Data Center in Singapore, reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications and Database Delivery. This position will be responsible for : Design, install, configure, administer, upgrade and troubleshoot web application servers, applications and databases running on UNIX based servers. This Infrastructure is an integral part of a 24x7 high-availability and clustered environment. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with global team members and individually to meet project needs. Have good communication and writing skills. Work on simultaneous projects, learn quickly and applying new skills as well as researching problems using a variety of resources. Be able to diagnose database and operational problems and develop effective solutions. Responds to emergency calls 24x7 relating to database performance, be able to diagnose and repair problems. Monitor database utilization and plan for database growth. Job Requirements Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related Degree. A minimum of 3 years of recent experiences as Oracle DBA managing Oracle Applications 11i/R12. 3 years of recent experiences working with UNIX, AIX and Linux systems including writing shell scripts is preferred.
