They are currently seeking a Fuel Facilities Manager, based in Kabul, Afghanistan. The position is offered on a one year renewable contract. Reporting into the General Manager, the Fuel Facilities Manager initial responsibilities will be to assist in the establishment of a new site to a highly functional and operational level. Once achieved the Facility Manager will be required to plan, schedule and assign the work of the facility personnel. You will direct facilities management operations and future planning; and will establish procedures for maintenance, repair and/or replacement of facilities, site, and vehicle fleet and systems equipment. You will provide management and overview of the operations security department; enforce fire and safety policy and procedures. You will direct and manage the cost effective repair and maintenance of the site/s in an arduous rapidly changing environment. You will ensure KPI’s, and cost effective measures are utilized to meet operational requirements. You will achieve the goals of the business and its strategies, whilst enabling our client to continue to service all contracts and clients to the highest standards. You will ensure all of the operational facility requirements according to site are completed with allocated / available resources with minimal interruption to operations. You will manage and co-ordinate the sites operational abilities and capability in order for the associated plant and equipment to be operable and fit for purpose. You will utilize your skills to manage resources to cost effectively and efficiently complete any maintenance tasks within the sites operations, whilst establishing and maintaining good relationships with the client and management. Finally you will ascertain, interpret, communicate and act on direction in relation to the sites operational requirements Knowledge and Skills: You will ideally be an accomplished FM Manager / Supervisor with experience of working for a fuel supply and distribution company. Ideally you will have ovation fuel project experience. You will be experienced in fuels hydrant operations and maintenance of bulk petroleum storage terminals. You should also ideally have experience in supervising functions such as installation, maintenance and repair of liquid fuels systems and components. Ideally you will have a Bachelors Degree in engineering, construction or related field with man management experience. You should be IATA and OSHA certified and experience in HAZWOPER is preferred. You should have knowledge of all phases of physical plant operation, maintenance and repair, planning, scheduling, management and administration. You should have a good knowledge of safety practices; record keeping and report writing experience. You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines. You should be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and possess excellent management and organizational skills. You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities.
