"Position: Oracle DBA Location: Daly City, CA Duration: 6+ Months Job description : • Strong SQL skills and PLSQL knowledge • Advanced knowledge in Oracle 10G/11G backup and recovery with RMAN, Flashcopy etc. • Oracle 10g/11g Streams Replication experience • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions like RAC and Data Guard is preferrable. • Experience in Grid monitoring and database design, Application Development, SQL tuning, and performance analysis of large databases. • Experience in Oracle DB migration on different OS platforms • Build, Maintain and support databases/instances required by application, vendor and project teams. • Provide performance monitoring during all phases of the Application’s development lifecycle • Experience in supporting web based Java applications. • Demonstrated skills working with Application Servers like weblogic, iAS, Apache/tomcat/Jboss. • Strong Shell scripting experience (barn, c and/or perl) • Experience with Linux and HP-UX environments.
