Job summary • Architectural design definition at subsystem level • Detailed design, Implementation/Coding and Unit/Module testing of distributed real-time systems • Maintain existing product features, resolve issues and fix bugs • Documentation • Regular progress reporting Professional competencies Education: • Technical study of Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar Requested technical competences: • Minimum 2 years of practical experience with embedded design projects • Strong knowledge of C language (C++ experience is considered a plus) • Basic Assembler know-how • Practical experience with 8/16/32 bits microcontrollers • Good knowledge of Windows, Unix /Linux environments (including scripting) • Experience of full product lifecycle: design and documentation, development, unit testing, refactoring, deployment and maintenance • Knowledge of how to use an oscilloscope Would be a plus: • Experience with safety-critical or real-time embedded systems development • Practical experience with following Microcontrollers: C167/164, XE167, Tricore, ARM Cortex, ATMega, PIC • Experience with UML based software design • Knowledge of other Compilers : Tasking VX, Keil, ArmRealView, IAR • Knowledge of real-time Operating Systems: PxROS (experience), Micrium uCOS-II,… • Knowledge of unit test environments: Cantata++ or Rational RTRT • Knowledge of In-circuit emulations • Knowledge of Event Driven Programming / Multithreaded APP`s • Debugger know-how: Vector (PLS) • DDTS/ClearQuest experience • Knowledge of Clear Case/Subversions or other SW configuration management solutions • DOORS experience Personal qualities • Very good cognitive aptitudes • Interpersonal qualities (sociability, empathy, flexibility) • Self management qualities (consciousness, tolerance) • Good work attitude (task orientation, assertiveness) Languages: • Fluency in English • German is a plus Benefits: Challenging projects with high safety requirements, professional development in multinational environment, training opportunities, attractive salary, medical care, restaurant tickets, sports programs, housing loan etc"
