"Hi Friends, Hope you are doing great. This is Rajesh from NYTP. I wanted to let you know about New Job opening in Multiple location -- Birmingham, AL / Atlanta, GA. It is a Long Term Contract. Role : Java Analyst Location : Multiple location -- Birmingham, AL / Atlanta, GA Duration : Long Term Contract. Description: Looking for 2 Java Developers - 1 Sr and 1Mid level • They both need strong java skills • They both need to be willing to embrace whatever technology we have/obtain. Any breadth in .Net, Java, Oracle, Ruby, Python and Unix are plusses. Flexibility with technology is important because o We have approval from our owner to eventually re-platform our current web apps from Java into .Net or Ruby/Rails to make our apps more maintainable. And since it has recently become so difficult to find Java folks, this also sets up Pinnacle down the road to more easily find technical resources to work on our systems. o We’re about to close on an acquisition of a company that has written all their apps in Ruby. Knowing Ruby coming in is a plus but not required, since this is not a done deal yet. o We also have Python here and that would be something they would work on too, these are not 100%-Java opportunities. • The senior person needs to be someone willing to take “lead” of a small team of 2 perm resources (self included) and however many temp resources we need to rewrite our product. • Would be ideal if either candidate had solid DB skills too. (Oracle preferably, but we also use SQL Server and some MySQL) Either hands-on or be able to guide a temp contractor we would bring in to help us tune our DBs. Not looking for DBA-level expertise, but to warrant the higher-end of the compensation range, would require some experience analyzing poorly-performing DBs and then optimizing them. • The senior person not only needs to be a technical leader but also willing to take “ownership” of the product itself. Meaning that they not only wear the architect hat and help guide us in what set of acronyms to bake into the products next, but also to help manage the product’s roadmap of future features. We have a considerable backlog of items we want to add to our archival product, and a re-platform is part of that list. Plus we have brand new web products that we have yet to start building. • The other position, I’m not going to call a “junior” position because we definitely want someone experienced in java. Call it the less-senior position. When we do get to rewrite our archival product in a new technology (.net, ruby/rails, etc), we need someone to “keep the lights on” our current product offering and be open/willing to shift to a new platform when that time comes. • So basically I am looking for java-skilled resources that are willing to augment and possibly forego that technology with additional ones • The senior person needs to be a tech lead as well as well-rounded individual, not just propeller-head. Needs to take some of the business ownership of the product. If you are available and interested in this positions. Please send me an updated resume. Please feel free to contact me for any further information.
