"A Transmission Project Manager is needed for one of our clients in the Telecommunications Industry to start ASAP. On.a permanent position based in the UK. Under the general supervision of a Programme Manager, the Transmission Project Manager will oversee the successful delivery of telecom network deployment projects in the UK and Northern Ireland. Main Responsibilities: •All aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle (initiation, preparation, implementation, acceptance, close out) •Identify project deliverables and acceptance criteria •Manage internal and external resource in a matrix environment to achieve successful delivery of projects. Delivery to comply with ISO9001 company quality standards •Forecast the overall resource plan with the product line manager, and update regularly. Implement the resource plan to meet requirements •Liaise with the customer to achieve successful project delivery and acceptance •Report on the programme status internally and externally •Escalate issues that cause the project to deviate from agreed tolerances •Ensure programme profitability targets are achieved including all Variation Requests •Develop the general effectiveness of the project department Requirements: •University degree in telecoms, electronic engineering or similar. •Good knowledge of at least one or more of the following products: DSL, SDH, DWDM, IP, wireless networks, voice services. •A recognized project management qualification (PMP or PRINCE2). •At least 2 years successfully delivering telecoms projects in a matrix environment. •Experience of working with blue-chip clients. •Professional structured approach to project delivery. •Strong written and verbal communication skills. •Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment. •Experience of managing sub-contract resource. •Understanding of Telecoms Software development process •Soft skills: Results focused, resilient, resourceful, supportive, open and objective If you are suitable and interested in this position, please send your CV in Word Format to Kate at sales@manningglobal.com with Ref LIKW/TRNPM-14036 or please call Kate on +44 (0) 1704 518930.
