Premier financial technology firm is seeking a C++/Java Consultant to help build a global product that is powered by one of the world’s largest and most accurate databases. You will use a variety of technologies to build a solution that allows Investment Banks, Brokers and Asset and Hedge Fund Managers to make real-time investment decisions that directly impact a billion-dollar industry. This is a high-performance, ultra-reliable system that feed billions of data points to their clients and provides market and reference data to more than six million securities traded around the world. This is a long-term contract opportunity (12 months +) located in New York City. Requirements: • 3+ years or full software development life cycle using both C++ and Java (must be willing to work with both languages) in a UNIX environment • Strong knowledge of RDBMS • A passion for solving complex problems and delivering critical software in a timely fashion • Experience with multi-threaded programming • Scripting languages such as Perl/Python is preferred"
