Job Description: JOB DETAILS: LOCATION: This job can be done from New York City, NY or CANTON, MI would be the least/last option Client Industry/ Domain:Design, Manufacturing & distribution of Luxury Goods & Jewelry Job Type: Direct/ Permanent Hire with our Client, a business organization and not any consulting company JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: OBIEE Architect / Developer IMPORTANT NOTES FROM CLIENT FOR DECIDING ON THE BEST FIT KEY POINTS- Most Important The IT team is a small team; the primary Business application is JDE, which is used in almost all areas, Distribution, Warehouse, MFG, Retail etc. Client is picky/very choosy of hiring the fit resource and wants some who can me a highly hands on technical OBIEE developer. Mostly power or GUI based SQL scripting tools that can Extract, Transform and Load (ETL). These can be done my using native SQL Language skills.Someone who has backend Database skills will have experience doing this if they worked on Datawarehouse or developing BI Solutions. Here we are using OBIEE as the BI tool, which is used to develop Business Intelligence Dashboard using Datawarehouse Data.. Many IT guys can have OBIEE skills, which is mostly front end GUI dashboard skills, but a Really True Datawarehouse/BI guy will have good ETL (SQL skills) and Design BI GUI using (BI tools like OBIEE, Cognos, etc..) TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS This person will be required to design new reporting meta data repositories and will also be instrumental in developing reports against those meta data repositories. Other primary responsibilities/ multiple functions are as follows: OBIEE front end Development and developing OBIEE metadata and develop/design Dashboard for end users. Writing ETL Scripts for data loading in to OBIEE data warehouse. Must have good communication skills, as this person will be involved in interacting with business users and gather requirements and also train end users in using dashboards effectively. 5 + years of IT experience, working or building Datawarehouse applications/Dashboards The key skills needed are: Strong OBIEE dashboard design skills (Front-end UI experience) Experience with pre-built OBIEE RPD METADATA process for OBIEE Strong ETL skills (Using SQL Server 2008) (Transact SQL, stored procedures, functions) Ability to work in a team environment is critical PREFERRED (Nice to have- Not a Requirement): Experience working with any ERP, (JDE preferred)from a data repository standpoint, if NOT they team will help them bring up to speed.
