"Must be able to lead by example in a manner that positively reflects on the Company. Own and complete work with minimal supervision and complete projects and tasks within deadlines. Remain open to ideas offered by others, putting needs of company before individual gain. Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations of the claims department; Maintain and enhance production statistics; including turnaround time, claims resolution of pending claim edits as well as adjudication of claims; Perform on-going analysis of data and information looking for opportunities for improvement operational efficiency in claims services; Perform effective analysis of claims reports and report findings to the Claims Manager; Develop or assist in the development of effective policies, procedures, objectives, and "monitoring of staff" practices to ensure the department consistently achieves department goals and in alignment with service standards; Ensure claims department effectively collaborates with other departments and with our business partners; Provide staff with the training/coaching, tools and resources necessary to carry out their work and conduct performance reviews and performance check point meetings; Ensure adherence to department and organizational standards, policies and procedures; Analyze staffing needs and re-organize work and assignments as deemed appropriate; Evaluate employees' performance both informally and formally and take corrective action to address any areas that need improvement; Plus additional duties. Requirements: Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) related to customer service and provider billing. Excellent data analysis skills; Basic mathematical skills; Excellent reading, oral and written communication skills; Excellent problem solving and decision making skills; Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook; Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills; Minimum of 2-4 years claims supervisory experience or any work experience and/or training that would likely provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position; Experience working at a health insurance carrier/health plan, Oregon Health Plan experience and/or BA/BS degree preferred. Pay Range: DOE Expiring in 12 days"
