Subject: Sr Software Engineer - contract/Melbourne, FL Heather Moore posted a job: Sr Software Engineer - contract/Melbourne, FL "Sr. Software Engineer I About the Opportunity: TRC Staffing is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for an avionics company in the Melbourne, Florida area. This is a long-term contract position with an anticipated duration of 6 months. This position is primarily a software verification position. Primary Responsibilities: Updating existing and writing new automated test scripts in JavaScript to formally test all affected and new software requirements Performing dry-run and for-score execution of software tests Performing link and timing analysis of software executables Performing structural coverage analysis per DO-178B REQUIRED SKILLS: Must be proficient in JavaScript - Existing test suites are automated to the greatest extent possible in JavaScript and use the VeriFAST test host, a custom test host that provides libraries of JS interface code for controlling test equipment and text fixtures. Must have knowledge of ClearCase configuration management tool and principles of configuration management Must have knowledge of ClearQuest change tracking tool Must have proficiency in test equipment such as: Condor bus controller software, Kontron discrete controller, GPIB commands, digital o-scopes, programmable signal generators, logic analyzers, emulators Knowledge of VHF Mode 2 and Mode A datalink functions is preferred Knowledge of RTCA DO-281A and TSO C160 requirements for Mode 2 performance is preferred Prior exposure to the VeriFAST test host is a plus Knowledge of DO-178B requirements coverage, structural coverage, and analyses (i.e., link, timing, etc.) guidance is preferred TRC Staffing Services, Inc. is a drug-free environment.
