They are looking for a Project Manager with extensive construction experience to oversee the construction of an ethanol distillery plant to remove the waste from sugar cane. The role: The successful candidate will be in charge of executing the project which shall involve heavy RC foundation work, boilers, structural steel fabrication and erection, high pressure plant piping (both CS and SS), equipment erections, vertical storage tanks and electrical/instrumentation work. Requirements: • A degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a Western University • A strong background working on similar industrial projects (e.g. process plants, petrochemical plants, alcohol distillery plants etc) • Experience of working in Africa (preferable) • Willing to travel on a single or married status (no children) with immediate availability. The package: Our client will offer a tax free basic salary, plus housing and all utilities, a company car will be provided and 2 return flights back over the 18 month contract. There is a golf course and club house next to the site that will be available for the PM to use.
