Sheetal Sood has started a discussion: Lead Software Engineer Location: St. Paul, MN "Berean Group is Seeking Lead Software Engineer Location: St. Paul, MN Duration: Permanent Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only The main development effort will be in Java. Essential Functions • Provide leadership and direction to team of highly skilled platform developers • Work closely with Platform Architects to ensure the technical integrity of all development efforts and alignment with the Internet Broadcasting technical architecture blueprint • Responsible for the development and maintenance of our platform applications using Java (J2EE) • Work with our customers, designers, and internal development team to analyze customer workflows in regards to our platform applications • Develop innovative, low-cost, and low-maintenance solutions for our customers utilizing software development best practices • Development emphasis on high quality/high performance systems and object-oriented software development in a multi-tenant, multi-tier environment Qualifications & Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Required • Experience in a lead position • Advanced Java/J2EE (Java 6+) design and development experience. Experience in high performance/highly scalable environment • Spring/Hibernate (ORM) background. • Strong DB background (Oracle, MySql, etc.). • Detailed knowledge of major open source projects including Apache Commons. • Experience with test driven development and the following libraries: JUnit, TestNG, Mockito or EasyMock. • Experience with using open source technologies (Tomcat, ActiveMQ, etc.) • Experience development web services, SOA • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts. • Experience with Agile Practices (iterations, releases, TDD, unit tests, etc.) • Experience with dependency management frameworks (ANT, Ivy, Maven) and continuous integration systems (Bamboo, Cruisecontrol, Hudson). • Cloud computing experience is a plus. • Skill with dynamic programming languages (Ruby, Perl, Python, etc.) is desired • Skill with declarative and functional programming languages (Scala, XSLT) is a plus • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience For More Job description and to apply click on the links below: [ http://www.bereangroup.com/jobInfo.do?jobId=115963 ] You can also mail your resume at resumes@bereangroup.com and sheela.sood@bereangroup.com with the job #115963 in the subject line.
