"Location: Shanghai, China Job Category: Product Management Employment Type: Full time Job Description The GPM Director is responsible for specifying and driving the development of the company’s PV module portfolio. The Director is also accountable for creating and implementing appropriate product marketing strategies, and development of all product marketing collateral and sales support materials. The director must have – or have the ability to develop – a strong understanding of global PV markets, competitive products and trends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Product and Portfolio Development • Determine, specify and document product requirements for the product portfolio and transmit these requirements to appropriate sourcing and development entities inside the company and to outside vendors. • Develop business plans supporting product additions to or deletions from the Product Portfolio • Survey and analyze market and industry trends with a special focus on PV technology development Product Training • Develop all product sales and technical training documentation and presentations • Coordinate internal and external training resources to provide both product sales and technical training to internal personnel as well as to external customers Product Marketing and Sales Support • Create and implement the product marketing plan, and develop all product marketing copy, collateral, white papers, and other materials in conjunction with Marketing • Gather, analyze, and synthesize market/industry information (competitive intelligence, competitive analyses, pricing, technology trends, etc.) through primary and secondary research, and incorporates information into all aspects of work. • Work with Marketing to provide product related trade show support • Work with Technical Sales personnel to develop technical analyses and recommendations and provides 2nd tier technical sales support. Business Management • Responsible for providing appropriate product line financial analyses/results reporting, and recommendations for improvement as needed. • Responsible for managing all aspects of product and product line cost, provides guidance to sales unit directors on pricing and margin management. • Responsible for vendor relations and management in conjunction with Purchasing. Creates technical, product, and market requirements in support of vendor qualification, channel validation and vendor sales support. This is a Director-level position reporting to the Vice President of Operation, based in China. Knowledge, skills & abilities: • Candidates must have a 4-year Bachelor's degree in a technical field • Electrical engineering degree or experience in a power generation environment a strong plus • 10+ years in a product management position for industrial products in a B2B environment • Strong knowledge/experience of product management processes and best practices • In-depth knowledge of PV power generation, technologies, and systems of all sizes • In-depth knowledge of PV industry and markets, key drivers, and main participants and competitive positions • Working knowledge of electrical codes, UL, IEC, CEC, FSEC and other certifications as they apply to PV systems a strong plus Interested individual please contact with Sophia Chen for further confidential discussion via: Email: sophia.chen@hrlofty.com * Your private information will be treated in strict confidence and used only for recruitment purpose.
