"Our client is one of the largest leading IT distributors in EMEA offering a broad portfolio of products including networking, servers, storage and enterprise software and service from leading hardware and software producers. In the country division for the Netherlands, our client is strengthening the commercial organization and therefore has an an opening for a seasoned Sales Manager. Functions: This sales manager will be heading a team of 5 to 8 external account managers and 1 internal sales manager (team leader of internal sales representatives) and reports directly to the country director of the Netherlands. He/ she will be part of the management team. The budget responsibility of this sales manager will be between 100-300million Euro yearly. A strong analytical mindset will be necessary to be able to take strategic decisions based upon figures and facts. The sales manager will have the following responsibilities: - responsible for the realization of a budget and margin goals of the sales unit together with his/her team of Account Managers, Internal sales Manager and Sales representatives - work out the sales strategy at quarterly basis - set up and control of price and margin level (KPI's) - frequent and high level contacts with the most important clients (presence of management) - follow up of commercial budgets and business plan and set up of corrective measures where necessary - continuous follow up, motivation and evaluation of the team members Requirements: The ideal candidate combines high commercial result orientation with strong people management and motivational skills. He/she will show excellent communication talent in Dutch and English. Next to experience in a high level commercial management function this person will have ideally at least an education at HBO level. He/she will take a pro-active role in the contacts towards clients, vendors and colleagues. His commercial experience and people management experience at Direction level will be supported by strong analytical skills, a high level of stress resistance, a continuous focus on cost-efficiency Ideally, the potential candidate shows a broad general education with an extensive understanding of the ICT market.
