The Software Engineer III will be proficient in all aspects of software development including generating documentation, implementing requirements, unit testing, troubleshooting, packaging and deploying solutions. The individual selected to fill this role will have the opportunity to lead client-facing projects and contribute to the ongoing design and implementation of our product suite. Must be comfortable taking the lead on issues and identifying resolutions with minimal supervision. Responsibilities: • Develop new software according to specifications • Perform maintenance and modification to software programs currently in production • Create implementation specifications from design specifications • Implement database components based on design specifications • Analyze design specifications to detect flaws in logic • And do whatever needs to be done to enhance the overall operation and value of Periscope! Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field • Comfortable leading teams and managing deliverables • Strong RDBMS skills, specifically with MS SQL Server and Oracle systems • 6+ years experience with Java/J2EE, J2EE application servers, XML, SQL, OOA&D • Experience with web-based security and best practices • Comfortable working with both Windows and Unix operating systems • Web development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX • Experience with agile development practices • Strong system administration skills, professional manner and excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Great attitude and spirit of cooperation • Ability to work with minimal supervision with supervisors, peers, subordinates and administrative personnel to accomplish objectives • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to practical use • Identify and analyze problems, propose solutions, and anticipate future problem areas before initiating action and implementing solutions Why Work For Us?
