Thanks Kevin Brooks "Job: Greenplum DBA (oracle or SQL) Required in Tampa, FL ""SEND ME PROFILES AT kevinb@amtexsystems.com"" Title: Greenplum DBA (oracle or SQL) Duration: Long Term / Fulltime Location: Tampa, FL   Job Description:   Greenplum DBA We are seeking a full-time, flexible Database Administrator with a business analytics aptitude to join our Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse team. Provides technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction. Assignments will include evaluating and implementing new products as well as upgrades, and enhancements or fixes to existing products. Job Requirements • Must have advanced DBA experience and skills, and experience with at least one of these additional database engines: Postures, Oracle, Vertical, Green plum, Terawatt. • Knowledge of database modeling (ERDs) and normalization. • Experience with optimization and indexing strategies. • Proficient in SQL. • Experienced in creating and maintaining data warehouses. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Act as the subject matter expert on data warehouse appliance.  Writes functional detailed design specs as well as responding to requirement documents and system level test plans. • Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives. • Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization lines. • May be accountable for overall product and/or serve as a customer advocate, may represent organization as principal customer contact. • Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information. • Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment. • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction.
