"Now Hiring: Business Analyst in Flint, MI The IT Business Analyst will be the functional expert to a defined business group who gathers the customer’s (internal or external) business requirements and then translates those requirements to specific software requirements. The IT Business Analyst also participates in end-user testing and validation as part of the development process. This individual is also responsible for analyzing the present business practices and processes and find ways to improve on them significantly. This position requires an understanding of current operations and how this affects software development requirements.  REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS   This position reports to the Senior Director of IT Strategy, Design & eCommerce There are no direct reports to this position. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.     Experience:  One to two years prior experience working in a business environment with software experience preferred. Experience in pharmacy, health care or pharmaceutical industry is highly desired. Skills/Knowledge:   Possess organizational and fact-finding skills. Have exceptional skills in reading, writing, and verbalizing in order to communicate effectively with employees, business associates, and vendors Ability to solve problems by developing appropriate solutions for issues. Should be organized and able to prioritize and manage time effectively. Strong customer service background. Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Be able to work well with various personalities and work as a team. Must be dependable and able to act with discretion maintaining levels of strict confidentiality. General knowledge of Internet navigation and research, e-mail, fax transmission, and copy equipment are essential. Ability to analyze and document complex business processes. Ability to make effective decisions under pressure. Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver. Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information Basic understanding of project management   Physical:  Sitting for prolonged periods of time at a desk, walking, standing, bending, crouching, and capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.   Mental:  High level mathematic competency as required by the essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below. Language:  Fluency in English with outgoing personality that translates to phone skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Reasoning:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Technology:  Proficient in Windows based operating systems and Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint in addition to the company’s software programs.   WORKING CONDITIONS   Variable in a climate controlled office environment.
