If you are available and interested, or know someone else who may be looking, please contact us at Career@MicroAgility.com Title: Data Analyst/Architect No. of Openings: 1 Location: New York, NY Type: CONTRACT C2C, W-2 Rate: DOE (~$700-1,000 per day) Duration: Long term Job ID: 1301A-012DAA JOB DESCRIPTION - Work with client for the Application Portfolio Rationalization initiative - Analyze the existing data from multiple applications and create an assessment document and communicate it with various stakeholders Strategy & Planning: - Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients and other key stakeholders. - Help create implementation plan to achieve long-term objectives and an overall data management roadmap. Establish processes for governing the identification, collection and use of corporate metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity. - Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement. Logical and Physical Design: - Creation and maintenance of class diagrams, use case diagrams, and data flow diagrams. - Analyze existing models for overlap and commonality. - Collaborate with application architect and application development team to construct logical and physical data models for the design and development of business applications. Operational Management: - Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization. - Select and implement the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support data technology goals. - Mapping of data sources, data movements, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality. - Collaborate with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data. - Address data-related problems in regards to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration. - Document the data architecture and environment in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture. - Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement. Job Requirements: Must have: - Minimum 10 years of hands on experience in Data Architecture, Data Mining and Data Modeling (Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Data Architecture) - Minimum 3 years experience working with large scale project linking data from multiple lines of business, preferably on MS SQL server platform - Experience with data profiling and cleansing - Expert level knowledge of data architecture tools, standards and processes - Hands on experience in implementing enterprise data management processes, procedures and decision support. - Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools - Strong familiarity with metadata management and associated processes - Strong object and information modeling experience. - Requirement gathering experience both at technical and business level - Demonstrated ability to work on complex, technical projects with tight deadlines - Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar trade. Preferred Skills - Preferably prior experience “big 4” or other management consulting company - Presentable and must be comfortable working with senior managers from the client side - Media & Entertainment (TV Network, Studio, and so on) experience - Possess excellent communication skills, written and presentation" | |||||
