Group: IT Recruiters Subject: I have a great job opportunity available - awesome culture - check out this job Elena Howard posted a job: I have a great job opportunity available - awesome culture - check out this job "Looking for a Systems Engineer in Columbia, MD Position Summary Engineer, maintain and administer all network architecture including LANs, WANs, telephony, messaging and servers and internetworking among all relevant hardware and software devices. Assist in the identification of hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions that are related to LANs/WANs and related servers. Provide production data center type services for the Windows server, VMWare, and NetApp enterprise technical architecture. Build, develop and manage the operations of Windows/VMWare/NetApp systems. Analyze user business functions and processes to translate needs into system and application delivery requirements and designs. Participate in all phases of the client/customer support development life cycle. Essential Functions Install servers, routers, switches, firewalls, concentrators, content engines, remote access servers and systems hardware. Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to hardware/software problems. Alert management, help desk team and other IT groups when issues or problems arise. Minimize client productivity loss caused by outages. Provide cable infrastructure for internetworking equipment, servers, and client workstations to meet organization business needs. Monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput, and availability. Help configure, install, and maintain hardware for and software for LAN/WAN. Assist in performing maintenance and release upgrades. Monitor performance and availability of systems platforms. Implement network architectures, including LAN-to-WAN, LAN-to-LAN and WAN-to-WAN communications. Participate in various IT projects intended to improve/upgrade the infrastructure and end user experience. Aid in designing, managing and executing pilot testing with both IT project teams and user representatives. Provides support to the research and evaluation of new software and hardware. Assist in designing servers and internetworking equipment. Implement identified solutions. Monitor back-ups and LAN/WAN. Install and configure new servers to the backup solution. Assist in administering cross-platform storage. Design and implement back up systems to maximize recoverability and reduce human intervention. Ensure data availability and recoverability including disaster recovery. Secondary Responsibilities Conduct feasibility studies for proposed systems and modifications to existing systems Participate in the development of internal design specifications Provide guidance to user representatives in preparing test cases, procedures and documentation Support production systems by optimizing performance, resolving problems and providing follow-up on problem reports Perform other job related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related discipline Minimum of five years of related work experience administering a corporate network environment, including some experience in application admi... http://bull.hn/l/134HR/"
