"Now Hiring: IT Systems Analyst in Columbia, MD Position Summary Responsible for the design, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of business applications and for consulting with users to analyze, troubleshoot, and determine the root cause of a given problem.  Essential Functions Partner with customers to capture and analyze business needs and information requirements. Play a key role in the identification and design of technology related solutions to solve business problems. Provide technical expertise and direct support for troubleshooting and resolving system/data/application issues as well as configuration and connectivity problems. Work with technical staff to ensure sound and compatible computing environment between systems that adhere to the company’s business continuity plan and strategy. Play a key project management role through all stages of project SDLC, including defining scope, gathering requirements, analysis, design, testing, implementation, support, and business continuity planning for business system applications. Conduct technical research on systems upgrades to determine feasibility, cost/time requirements, and compatibility with current systems. Serve as business systems applications security officer as assigned and fulfill internal/external audit requirements. Secondary Responsibilities Verify application performance with users for reliability, accuracy and functionality Develop and maintain technical and application related documentation Conduct training on new applications or application enhancements as required Perform other job related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration (with significant IT work experience). Project Management training or certification. Minimum of three years experience in systems analysis role. Prior experience with business applications subsystems, especially large complex systems, a solid background in systems implementation in multiple locations. Experience working closely with vendors. PC proficiency to include (but not limited to) Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Microsoft Project and Visio. Knowledge of SQL, SQL Server RDBMS, Microsoft Access. .NET troubleshooting experience a plus. Hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Experience with CTI (or other ERP systems), Business Objects, Crystal Reports, rCash PAYplus, Citrix, Argus Enterprise, Budget/Dyna, FAS, Propidex, Work Order Systems, Ultipro, and CRM solutions preferred. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent customer service skills.
