Geotechnical Engineer with focus on Seismic/Earthquake - Vancouver, BC Eligibility to register as PEng with APEGBC Graduate degree considered an asset The Ideal Candidate Proven expertise in geotechnical earthquake engineering Proven leadership Excellent communicator Job Description You will provide engineering services to a variety of geotechnical engineering projects (water mains, river crossings, tunnels, dams, reservoirs, slopes), with a focus on geotechnical earthquake engineering. Responsibilities • Provide engineering services for geotechnical projects for water and sewer facilities with a focus on geotechnical earthquake engineering • Prepare budgets • Cost estimates • Expense tracking • Contract administration • Oversight of contractor and consultant work • Project management • Provide guidance and supervision to EIT's and Project Engineers Requirements • Bachelors degree (Civil, Geotechnical, Geological) with a Geotechnical focus • Min. 10 years experience in geotechnical seismc design and construction • Graduate degree in Geotechnical preferred • Eligibility to register with APEGBC as a PEng is required • Must have experience with geotechnical engineering computer software and experience with MS Word and Excel • Excellent oral and written communication skills • A good understanding of environmental regulations, and issues related to mitigation for major construction projects Compensation 75k - 105k Compensation and Benefits Details All CV submissions and/or telephone calls are held in strict confidence.
