Job Description: • This individual will focus on fixed income asset management efforts in the areas of data delivery, product positioning, product development and overall business strategy to retain and grow assets. • A deep understanding of the competitive landscape in the institutional business is essential. Understanding of the intermediary and retail landscapes a plus. • This individual will be responsible for leading a team of 3 analysts with oversight of investment strategy statistics and data, competitive product research and positioning, and consultant databases. • Knowledge of performance reporting and data mining is key to leading the team. • Importantly, this individual will have responsibility for the delivery of concise conclusions based on investment data, investor demand, and competitive research. • This role interacts with investment and sales professionals across the firm to develop findings and their implications to facilitate development of effective product positioning and development---end to end product positioning for the fixed income business. • The role also interacts with retail and client service organizations in the delivery of statistical information. • This individual is responsible for the training and development of his/her team members. • Prioritizes, manages, and executes on the workflow while maintaining high quality standards. Qualifications: • Demonstrates expertise in managing a performance reporting team, has strong market research technical/knowledge, extensive practical and industry knowledge, and the ability to integrate critical information from diverse areas. • Demonstrated expertise working with product positioning, product development and product strategy within an asset management environment required, preferably in fixed income. • The capacity to fully comprehend the investment organization's products/processes, service requirements, pricing structures and related issues. • Strong competitive knowledge and a solid understanding of asset management. • Previous experience working with senior management and investment professionals. • Highly responsive, a team player with a collaborative style. • Strong relationship and communication skills. • Ability to 'roll up your sleeves' and lead by example is key---a 'doer' who can lead. • B.A or B.S. degree required, MBA, CFA, CPA, and/or CIMc desired. • 7 to 10 years asset management experience required. • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of strategic product marketing experience required • At least 3 years of management experience required."
