"The Engineering Manager – Embedded Software position leads and executes product programs with cross-functional team leaders and individuals to meet customer requirements for product quality, cost, to ensure that new product development is done on-time, to right quality and cost. This position will drive a major organizational and technological transformation introducing into our embedded software development processes methodologies such as model based design, test driven design, and test automation. Duties include (but are not limited to): • Setting the strategy and direction of the business and driving continuous improvement of systems, products and processes • Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement, and mentoring • Resource assignment and prioritization including headcount and base cost budget • Instilling a rigorous and methodical approach to embedded software development and installed base and forward production care. • Leading change through creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues • Optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product development • Supporting existing products within Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Drive compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables 5. Identify continuous improvement activities by initiating the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives Qualifications/Requirements 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Physics or Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years’ experience within Engineering or technical discipline or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 4 years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study) 2. 5 years relevant work experience in embedded software development for medical equipment 3. 3 years project management or direct or indirect people leadership experience U.S. (Country) Specific Qualifications: 1. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time 2. Must be willing to work in Wisconsin full-time 3. Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process 4. Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background Desired Characteristics Masters or PhD in Engineering or Physics 10 years relevant industrial experience in embedded software development Proven knowledge about Software Risk Management related processes Proven ability to work cross-functionally Demonstrated project leadership and/or people management skills Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives Proven LEAN or Six Sigma skills Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills For immediate consideration, please forward your resume to: Melanie Cisler Sourcing Specialist Fusion Recruiters, LLC 6526 River Parkway | Wauwatosa, WI | 53213 Email: fusionrecruiters@gmail.com"
