"Essential Responsibilities: Design and implement client software on products that provide a nurse’s central station for monitoring of patient physiological data and monitoring network products that provide patient monitoring data in industry-standard and next-generation real-time communication protocols to hospital electronic medical record systems. • Provide design leadership for component-driven software architecture and new feature development • Develop real-time and non-real-time software, in C++ and / or Java • Leverage continuous integration, static analysis, Agile methods and other industry best practices during the development of software. • Collaborate with architects to design solutions and drive those decisions into the design of the product • Author software requirements and design specifications • Work across the entire software development lifecycle • Apply technical expertise and oversight to ensure quality of design and implementation • Mentor other engineers on the team to develop high quality software • Collaborate globally with a project team using the Agile Scrum methodology • Collaborate as a member of a global software team. Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related computer degree • 5+ years of experience in object-oriented design and implementation of C++ or Java software. • Demonstrated strong software design abilities. • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and development environments. • Experience with software engineering tools and methodologies such as: Requirements management tools, UML tools, Version control systems, Microsoft Visual studio, Eclipse or similar IDEs, C++ and Java profilers, static and dynamic analysis, defect tracking and resolutions tools and automated testing • Experience with real-time software systems in a multi-threaded environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting, discussing, and documenting technical information • Demonstrated effective problem solving capabilities • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various teams • You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process • You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time Desired Characteristics: •Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related computer field • Demonstrated leadership of feature teams or similar sub-teams within a software project. • Working knowledge of network protocols and programming • Test Driven Design experience • Demonstrated experience with development of medical device software • Windows API and application programming • JNI • UNIX/Linux system setup & management • Previous experience using static analysis tools such as Findbugs, Checkstyle, Coverity, etc • Knowledge of XML and/or HL7 • IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool experience • Participation in process improvement activities For immediate consideration, please forward your resume to: Melanie Cisler Sourcing Specialist Fusion Recruiters, LLC 6526 River Parkway | Wauwatosa, WI | 53213 Email: fusionrecruiters@gmail.com"
