"Position Title: General Manager – Business Solutions Reports to : Director IT (Mfg R&D) Work Location : Gurgaon Position Summary: Accountabilities: 1. Accountable for implementing the IT strategy and Vision for Mfg 2. Ensure that all IT projects in Mfg and Supply Chain (SCM) are implemented in a compliant manner on time and on budget. 3. Responsible for people development and ensure appropriately skilled IT team is available to support business 4. Enable following functions with suitable System-based Planning solutions a. Supply Chain Management b. Manufacturing - Implement System-based Planning solutions to add strategic advantage to the organization by o Increasing throughput of manufacturing facilities o Optimum manufacturing resources utilization o Effective inventory management Level of Responsibility: High Scope: Global Dimension: Markets (Countries) for which planning done in APO: 50+ Plants where SAP PP is implemented: 10+ Plants where planning is done in APO: 5+ Maintenance Budget: 8 Cr INR Team strength, including support staff: 60+ Delegation of Responsibility: Below and Higher • Administrative responsibilities are handled by Director, IT • Project related activities managed by Project managers and LITs Job Profile: Value Harvesting: Add value to business by effective utilization of the IT systems in the processes; this may extend to incorporate changes to current processes, to be identified by working closely with business. Successful utilization of IT Solutions at the manufacturing plants. Ensure successful execution of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing solutions on appropriate systems (Covers process improvements, functional or systemic). Identify and test new solutions/products that are relevant for business requirements. Support: Meet or Exceed Internal Service Level Agreements Identified for support. Improve customer management process and perception Build a self-supporting model for most IT systems in purview through user training, identification of super users and IT support. Remain updated with new developments in the functional and technology domain. Team/People Development: Continue to build a highly skilled and motivated team, securing the best talent available, establishing clear expectations, providing coaching & effective behavioural feedback, as well as individualized development programs. Prepare others to assume new and increased responsibilities in the future. Build an organization that is training ground for future Ranbaxy IT leaders. Vendor Management: Develop a vendor portfolio to cater to different requirements. - Production support - Safeguarding existing solutions - Value enhancement To ensure cost-effectiveness, reliability and effectiveness in all relationships. Assessment and Planning of Work Processes in the system are defined either by business or by the IT team. This requires configuration of the core and aligned systems and any technical developments. The team also takes the onus of defining core business processes. Self Assessment: 40% New/revised processes in the system are released to business users and support team. Self Assessment: 30% Interface: Internal: Business users in Planning, Manufacturing, Sales; IT teams – SAP ECC, Basis, Infrastructure, Corporate Solutions; Support team External: Vendors -, Support team provider, Consulting organizations Competencies Required: Technical Competencies: Supply Chain Management processes, Manufacturing processes, SAP BIW (High Level), SAP APO Behavioral Competencies: Communication skills, Inter-personal skills, Persuasive skills, Analytical skills.
