This engineer will provide leadership to the Manufacturing teams to develop products (reformers, stacks, fuel cell systems) that incorporate both low and high volume manufacturing strategies Job Qualifications: (required unless otherwise noted) •Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Masters degree highly desired. •More than seven years experience in a low volume, highly technical content manufacturing environment involved in sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly operations and Factory Acceptance Testing of electro-mechanical products in industries like appliance manufacturing or automotive. •Hands-on experience with ERP applications including the definition and maintenance of operation centers, work centers and routings. •Six Sigma and/or Lean experience. •Demonstrated project leadership skills including the ability to define problems, lead teams prioritize tasks and deliver results Special Skills and Abilities •Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation and ISO 9000 requirements •Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and project management skills. • Information gathering and analysis strengths; excellent organizational and communications skills. •Knowledge of Minitab. •Experience with MS Great Plains. •Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office. AutoCAD or SolidWorks knowledge highly preferred. •Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities •Regular attendance is required to perform the position’s essential job responsibilities.
