"Hi All , For our customer in the Germany we are currently searching for a “3G Firmware Application Engineering” Project Start: 9 months plus extension Location: Munich and / or Duisberg Job Description: Understand the IMC solution for dual mode 2G / 3G cellular devices Analyze and solve customer system issues with special focus on layer1 3G firmware (Release 7 of the 3GPP specification) Track and coordinate further analysis of 3G FW related issues and report results to customer via tracking tool called “Unified Tracking Platform UTP” Reproduce 3G firmware related issues with attached debug (Lauterbach JTAG/ETM) and trace tools on customer hardware Support the customer during development, ramp up and maintenance Onsite technical support (worldwide) and weekend support Build and release of customer specific 3G firmware (ClearCase based versioning) Validation of 3G firmware using existing regression test system Analyze field returns with focus on 3G subsystem Preparation of application notes Preparation and execution of training material Verification support for platform or digital baseband issues Skills: University / University of applied sciences / University of cooperative education: Master in electrical engineering & information technology or computer science required Main focus on communication techniques desired Programming skills in C/C++ required Knowledge of microprocessor systems and their debugging possibilities desired (ARM11/7, TeakLite) Knowledge of communication systems, cellular systems preferred (GSM / GPRS / EDGE / UMTS / HSxPA / DigRF) required Basic knowledge of 3G measurement equipment like R&S CMU200 Experience with lab equipment desired Basic knowledge regarding configuration management desired Basic project management skills desired Good communication skills desired Team Player desired Speak English and German (Nice to have) If this is of interest to you, we would be happy to receive your updated CV in Word Format, your availability and your expected yearly rates at your earliest convenience via resourcing-itsouth@harveynash.com.
