"Position Summary - Supervise, administer, evaluate, correlate, and review the service activities and staff to achieve the customer satisfaction while positioning the company for steady, long term growth. Principal Duties and Areas of Responsibilities Supervise · Subordinate technicians and service support staff. · Selection and recruitment of service technicians and authorized service centers (ASC). · Scheduling of staff travel and customer visitation with an awareness of maximizing return on costs. Administer - · The activities of subordinates to determine assignments, wages, incentives, changes of employee status, promotions, transfer, terminations, within the confines of corporate policy to achieve departmental objectives. · And coordinate service calls requested by customers for warranty and non-warranty service. · And coordinate service calls for new customers (Start-up service), with the sales and contracts departments. · Service promotion programs/seminars and product training seminars. · Regular and special service reports as needed. · Vendor accounts and relationships includes ASC agreements. · Atlas rental equipment to ensure proper upkeep/maintenance, and facilitate the rental and all pertaining aspects of the rental/payment/logistics of the rental equipment. · Physical parts inventory to include the warehouses in Florida and Palma, Spain. Evaluate - · Conduct and/or participate in internal/external service-related meetings to continually improve motivations and general morale of the service department and third party service organizations. Review - · And appraise departmental performance with respect to obtaining new business and improving staff relationships with customers. · Service policies with the Director of Sales and Marketing, and implement approved changes. · Analyze and approve all trip reports and other service related expenditures. · Activity of competitors with respect to service, effectiveness and pricing. Education, Specialized Knowledge, and Experience Minimum - · College level or equivalent experience in Management, Business Administration, or Technical Discipline. · At least five years' service management responsibility. · Work history reflects stability, dedication, loyalty, and professional growth. Preferred - · Experience in power conversion or frequency conversion markets. · Technical knowledge about solid-state power conversion techniques and equipment. · Marine service experience. · Advanced degree in Consumer Relations, Management, or Business Administration.
