Duration: Fulltime Job Description: This position works closely with the Technical Leads, Technical Analysts and Developers to develop and deploy high quality software within the governance of our SDLC process. Technology Platform: C#, ASP.NET, Java Script, JQuery, AJAX, SQL Server and LINQ Key responsibilities for this position are: • Develops and implements software code according to specifications and standards. • Works collaboratively with IT staff on development, application support and other technical efforts. The candidate will be expected to be an active team member. • Serves as SME in all aspects of systems / applications software technology and/or application components. • Resolves application and technical problems of the highest complexity. • May mentor and train junior staff. • May design, implement and improve workflows and processes. Required Qualifications: • A minimum of 5 years experience developing Object Oriented applications in a full SDLC environment for a financial services firm (i.e., capital markets, institutional/retail brokerage or asset management) or for a corporation that builds and licenses trading system software. • A minimum of 5 years experience having developed applications with Microsoft technologies (e.g., C#, ASP.NET, Java Script, JQuery, AJAX, SQL Server and LINQ). • Experience with integrating vendor applications and/or developing custom applications in support of Equity, Fixed Income or Derivative trading. • Working knowledge of one or more Trade Products: Equity, Fixed Income or Derivative trading. • Hands on experience with one or more development methodologies (e.g.,Waterfall, Agile, Prototyping, RAD, etc.). • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline. • Graduate degree in Business, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline is a BIG plus. • Strong analytical and communication skills. • Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, have good communication and people skills, team player, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, commitment and appreciate the application of technology in support of our business."
