Job Description FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Data Analyst will research and investigate business data for providing predictive, what if analysis. This position will also conduct on-going presentation of analysis results and findings and provide support to improve the data quality as needed. Key responsibilities: -Analyze current and planned systems data as they relate to the predictive and what if analysis Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets -Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from various data sources -In collaboration with client, analyze data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality -In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings -Perform statistical/predictive/what if analysis of the existing/recommended data -Perform data cleaning, preparation, reporting, and data analysis -Perform data extraction, aggregation, and quality checking from multiple sources and tables in support of trend identification, predictive analysis, and what if analysis -Developing, documenting, and communicating concepts and processes used within Analytics -Participates and drive the data analysis sessions with the customer and various levels of stakeholders in the hierarchy -Act as the primary point of contact for all communication needs for the data analysis with the customer -Prepares project documentation like meeting minutes, business process documents and other process workflow diagrams as required -Act as the SME for the business data and domain, conduct/manage the knowledge transfer with the testing and development teams Work Experience MINIMUM EXPERIENCE -Five to seven years of experience working with web based applications in the areas of data analysis -Ability to multi-task and good documentation skills -Proficient in analytical thinking skills -Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and presentation skills -Sound knowledge and understanding of Data Modeling concepts, ETL process -Ability to comprehend complex enterprise systems -Ability to quickly learn and understand enterprise systems and complex inter dependent/related business data and processes -Ability to understand and respond to complex queries by users about the system functionality and data -Must be able to work in agile environment and be a team player -Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills Nice to have qualifications: Understanding of Business Intelligence platforms Statistical research Education and Training Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business and management, human resources, information systems, computer science, or another equivalent and related field -Proficient in data analysis -Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and powerPoint -Ability to analyze and solve complex problems -Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously -Self-motivated individual -Ability to interact with client at various levels -Strong work execution, including: ownership of individual tasks and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
